Paul Revere
[Spacer] PAUL REVERE is a very keen businessman - sensible, authoritative, tactful - which is a very good explanation as to why he leads the Raiders. A far more important reason, however, is his ability to maintain complete equality within the group, without disassociat- ing himself from the needs and problems of each indi- vidual member. Paul has the respect, admiration, and trust of the other Raiders, and they know he's willing to help them, both professionally and personally. Because of this, they have affectionately, and appropriately, nick- named him "Uncle Paul." About his Raiders, Paul feels that -

[Spacer] "each member of the group is like a separate book. Some have more pages than others, but a good book can be any length. Not all the pages are perfect; some need straightening out, which is more or less what I try to help with."

[Spacer]Look behind Revere's gruff exterior, and find a man of great warmth, understanding, and honesty; a dedicated family man, and a good, true friend. On stage, Paul's instinctive sense of timing makes him a well-chosen anchor man for the group. Pounding his piano with an excitement more zealous than that of Jerry Lee Lewis, he provides a solid rhythmic background for the Raiders' music.
